Bag of Chips

So you think you're all that and a bag of chips? So do we!

Preview: UFC 179 – Aldo vs. Mendes 2

The UFC returns to Brazil tonight with its latest pay per view offering, headlined by one of the country's proud hometown hero's. While the rest of the card leaves a lot to be desired, as far as big fights go, there is a lot of young talent on this card who have a major opportunity to make themselves household names with outstanding performances.

WWE Hell in a Cell predictions

While I don't think the overall build has been too impressive, it is at least passable for a b-level show, and I thought they did a decent job of getting the major angles over on their go-home show. Having said that, I really think this could be a fantastic in-ring show. Granted, there are a few potential botch-fests on it, but there are at least two or three matches that I am very much looking forward to, but I'll get into that when the time comes.

TNA Bound for Glory predictions

For those of you who have wasted a year of your life watching Impact, believe me, I share your pain. I originally was not going to post anything, as it relates to this show, because this is yet another example of how big an embarrassment this company is to professional wrestling. Before I start receiving all kinds of hate mail, let me just explain what I mean. The embarrassment has nothing to do with the talent on this show, because on paper, this does look really good. However, as much as I'd hate to see anyone lose their job, I think the entire writing team should be replaced, because I really think that we have wasted an entire year of our lives, watching this show. This is supposed to be the biggest show of the year, and yet no storylines are going to be advanced here, and half the talent won't even be on it. That is ridiculous.

UFC President Dana White was heavily criticized for the pay per view he offered us last month. Anyone who has heard White's reaction to that criticism would know that he didn't take too kindly to it. I guess this is his way of bouncing back. I was actually starting to believe that it's finally gotten to the point where television cards were better than pay per views.

WWE Night of Champions predictions

It hasn't been the greatest summer for the WWE. SummerSlam was a pretty good show, but I think the absences of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and now Dean Ambrose have ultimately done more harm than good. What puzzles me is that Bray Wyatt is not booked on this show. I guess creative has nothing for him. Having said that, I can see certain guys stepping up and being put in top positions very soon, if you read further down, to my prediction card for Hell in a Cell.

Preview: UFC 177 – Dillashaw vs. Soto

The UFC has produced some of the best cards in MMA history, in recent years; they wouldn't be at the top of the MMA food chain if they didn't. However, there has been a lot of negativity about this card in particular, and I can kind of see why. A lot of these guys (and girls) are a who's who of who cares, but I actually look forward to fights with unknowns, because I look it at as their golden opportunity to make themselves famous with outstanding performances. It is pretty tough to do that though, when your opponent is just as unknown. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

WWE SummerSlam predictions

Well I must say that the last few SummerSlams have been built up pretty well, with this year being no exception. While I've had no problem with the build, I just don't care for the actual card. Outside of the main event, it doesn't have a SummerSlam feel to it; it just feels like an ordinary pay per view. This is partially due to the fact that most of these matches have been seen before, but I will give credit where credit is due, and say that the WWE has certainly made the most of this.
